Overview

Discovering Hanoi’s Old Quarter street foods can be a leap of faith without a guide to steer you to the must-eats and prevent you getting lost. With this small-group tour, you’ll visit tried-and-trusted food spots to sample classics, such as Banh trang nuong, mix noodle salad, crispy pancake, fried spring roll, egg coffee and more.

Bún chả is served with grilled fatty pork (chả) over a plate of white rice noodles (bún) and herbs with a side dish of dipping sauce.

Grilled rice paper is called Vietnamese pizza because this dish is prepared and looks quite similar to a pizza.

Mix Noodle Salad (Bun bo tron Nam Bo

Desserts: Cool down with some traditional Vietnamese sweets like Che, a sweet and creamy dessert soup made with coconut milk, beans, and fruits, or Vietnamese Egg Coffee.

“Food tour ”

We made the tour with Sara. Took us for lots of different places suggested by Michelin guide. . We discovered the kind of restaurantes we’d never be able to discover them alone. She’’s very nice and made us live a special night She was amazing ! Really, she is the best !!!

“great guide delicious food”

we tried a variety of dishes that I don't think I would have ever thought about trying or realize they existed unless I took this tour. everything was delicious and portions small enough where I didn't have to stuff myself. in the end of the day I think it all comes down to the guide, and Tee was just great. was very upbeat, taught us so many interesting things and had just the right vibe to make the experience so enjoyable.

“Great food tour in hanoi”

Our guide was great and showed us around some of the best food spots in hanoi. We wended up at train street to end the tour and saw three trains go past. Amazing experience.

“Good experience ”

Good experience in Hanoi with Sarah. Sarah is very nice, speak english perfectly. She is interested to learn about you, and interesting to teach you street food in Hanoi. We were just disapointed about the end of the tour. The guide asked for tips. We know about this is a free tour and it’s normal to give a tip to the guide. But i think it’s not correctly to ask for that or to ask for a minimum amount.

“We tried delicious food we’d never have otherwise ”

Sarah yook us on a culinary delight across the old town that was always interesting and tasty. There was food for the curious and the adventurous at clean and affordable places explaining the ingredients and purpose of the meals as we went. Sometimes it was street stslls snd sometimes small restaurants. We covered anout 1.5km across 2.5 hours so it was an easy walk. We ended up on train street and stayed on for a train. Sarah’s English was strong and she was bery engaging with our small group. Thank you Satah.

“Great food!”

We really enjoyed our tour. We tasted some Vietnamese food that we had never had before, and it was all great! We never would have gone to some of the eateries that Nathan took us to and we would have missed out. Nathan was a great guide and while food was the focus, he showed us a lot of other things, as well. The tour did go longer than advertised, which would have been good to know when it started. We highly recommend this tour!
