The meeting place where the tour starts is Mavili Square, the square right next to the lake and the point where visitors take the boat to the island. From there, we will cross a short lakeside path and then pass the entrance to the castle.

Inside the castle, we will see the traditional Castrian houses and the archaeological site, the Ic Kale Mosque, the Byzantine museum, the baths, the new silverware museum, the municipal ethnographic museum, and the Jewish synagogue. Then we will follow a route (very close to the castle) on which visitors will see a part of the old town.

Independence Street is famous for traditional cafe food shops and bars. From there, we will head up to the modern city center, where the tour will end. The visitors will face the town hall and the historic clock in the city center.

On arrival

Mavili is a big square right next to the lake with easy access, we will meet there.
Please bring comfortable shoes and warm clothes during the winter months.
