Overview of the tour in Ioannina
The fortified old town of Ioannina (known as the Castle of Ioannina) has a unique history. It is the oldest continuously inhabited Byzantine castle in Greece, filled with historical buildings and museums. Records show it was developed by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I in the 6th century, although excavations have revealed artifacts from the Hellenistic period from the 4th-3rd century BC.
Come together, and we can explore the old city that awakes many memories of the past, giving the right vibe for anyone who wants to learn, meet, and discover more.
We will meet at the central gate of the castle, see the Serbian era's gate, the Synagogue, the narrow streets and 19th-century houses, a fortress of Its Cale, Fethiye Mosque, and the island of Museums, walking down to the Aslan Pasa Municipality Museum and Ottoman Monuments around.
Ending in the gate that leads us to the lakeside of Molos.

Main Gate of the castle, in front of the small chapel of Saint George the New Martyr.
On arrival
Go straight ahead to Averof Street in the direction of the lakeside. We meet in front of the main Gate, in front of the small chapel of Saint George the Bew Martyr.
