Overview of the tour in Istanbul

Taksim Mosque, which adds dazzling beauty to Istanbul's Taksim Square Silhouette, is one of the frequent destinations for foreign tourists who come to visit the Taksim Square area. Although it's a recently built mosque, it fits the square with great harmony, and within a very short time, it became one of the symbols of Istanbul.

In this tour, we will first have a brief talk about the history of the Taksim Square area: historical water supply system structures (1732), Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (1881), Saint John Chrysostom Armenian Catholic Church (1863) and Taksim Republic Monument (1928).

Then, we will visit Taksim Mosque, the focal point of our tour. During the interior visit, we will explain the details of the mosque together with the basics of Islamic teaching and culture. At the end of this tour, the participants are expected to gain a deeper understanding of the details of mosques and Islamic culture in general, as well as a general perspective on Taksim Square's history.

Our meeting point will be the Taksim Republican Monument (Taksim Cumhuriyet Anıtı).
I will be in the direction facing the Taksim Mosque.
