Overview
Edirnekapi, on the top of the sixth hill of Constantinople, hides unmissable places, indelible traces of the past of a unique city. Outside the usual tourist circuits, Edirnekapi is today a humble and traditional neighborhood that allows, in a couple of hours and in a small extension of land, to contemplate picturesque corners and places such as: the majestic and defiant to the passage of centuries Byzantine walls along with the gate of Adrianople; the mosque of Mirihmah Sultan and his eternal love story; the cemetery of the Martyrs, one of the largest in the city; or what was probably the oldest Christian basilica in Constantinople and contains the most spectacular frescoes and mosaics of Byzantine art, St. Savior of Chora. An unrepeatable walking tour exclusively in English and small groups.
