Explore Temple of the Tooth Relic, Pinnawala & Ambuluwawa
Overview of the tour in Kandy
Journey begins around 9.00 a.m. from the residence in Kandy. Firstly visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic within the noon ceremony period, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the sacred molar tooth of Lord Buddha. Admire the Royal Palace of the last king who ruled Sri Lanka until 1815, and visit the Buddhist and Hindu temples and archaeological museums located within the Maligawa premises.
Proceed to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. There are 50-60 elephants. We can see elephant bathing at the river. And also some period we can observe milk feeding to baby elephants.
Or
Visit Millennium elephant foundation. In here you can do elephant riding, Elephant bathing, Elephant feeding & walking with elephant. When you visit Elephant museum, you will learn about the magnificent creates.
Final destination is “Ambuluwawa”,Which is greenery hilly area, rich in biodiversity. At the top of the mountain there is a man-made view point tower with the height of 48 meters approximately and provides 360 degree view gallery. Sunsets is a very beautiful scenery to watch at the tower top.
