We had an amazing experience with the Kyoto Free Walking Tour in the Gion District! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and brought the rich history of Kyoto to life with engaging stories and insights about geisha culture, traditional architecture, and the local customs. The pace of the tour was perfect—relaxed yet full of interesting stops, hidden gems, and photo opportunities. We especially appreciated the guide's passion for Kyoto's heritage and the way he answered everyone's questions with enthusiasm and depth. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Kyoto who wants a deeper, more authentic understanding of the Gion area.

“Little why”
No history at all, a bit about what geishas learn and do. Lots of "this is this, that is that", but sadly no why this and that is. The guide was super nice and euphoric. The two temples we visited were also alot of what but no how and why. Free Walking Tours are generally considered great because of their cultural insights and depths of knowledge. This wasn't the case on this tour.
