Overview of the tour in Lake District

I live & work in Kendal, and this is my favorite short walk from Bowness-on-Windermere.

Brant Fell is the subject of a chapter of Wainwright's book 'The Outlying Fells of Lakeland'. On page 34 of volume 8, he said:
"A visitor to Bowness with time to kill or wishing to escape the throngs of day-trippers cannot do better than walk up Brant Fell and, in solitude, enjoy its fine prospect of Windermere or a simple scramble on its inviting summit rocks."

We'll walk through woodland, past tarns and onto the summit to enjoy the stunning views.

I'll also share everything I love about this area, including:

- Other local walks
- Places to visit, eat & drink
- Events & festivals

My dad is a dairy & sheep farmer in South Lakeland, and his farm supports five families producing delicious, award-winning cheese, running glamping accommodations & making gorgeous felts. We'll discuss the importance of the wool industry to this area, how farming has shaped the landscape, and the future of farming.

If you can't make the days/times but are interested, I may be able to offer something bespoke. Please get in touch to discuss this.

Things to note

This walk is about 4.5km, through woodland & over fells, on paths which could be muddy & slippy when wet, and as such walking boots, wellies or trainers (that you don't mind getting dirty) are recommended. To gain the best views, there will be some uphill walking, with the total ascent being about 190m. The Cumbrian weather can also be unpredictable, so the blue sky views aren't guaranteed, but an adventure is :-)

Free Cancellation

You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
