Overview
We'll meet at 11 am at the Parque Kennedy, located at the intersection of Ovalo de Miraflores and Mc'donals streets, and start the modern Miraflores free tour.
Our first stop will be Ernesto Wong, where we'll see the tribute to the Peruvian Chinese culture created by the architect Salvador Gonzalez. The tour will continue to the famous Teatro Nacional del Perú. Did you know that it was the headquarters of the Peruvian Italian mafia in the 1930s? You'll be surprised by its curious historical facts as well as those of the nearby D'onofrio ice cream parlour, an institution in the city.
The next stop will be the University of Piura campus, where some of its buildings will remind us of contemporary temples! Then, we'll make our way towards the Avenida Pardo, where we'll admire the statues of various Latin American leaders. Following on, we'll tour the Miraflores neighbourhood from the Plaza Kennedy and see the famous silhouette of John F. Kennedy.
Then, we'll head to the iconic Kiss sculpture. After a two-hour tour, at 1 pm, the tour will end at the corner of 23rd and 12th streets. In this same location, Sanchez Cerro declared 1932 the political character of Perú.
