Overview of the tour in Lisbon
Enjoy a 2-hour walking tour where you will immerse yourself in Portugal's Age of Discovery.
We begin the tour in Plaza Afonso Albuquerque at 11:00. There, we will begin our journey to the past to discover the maritime origins of Lisbon, and where we will understand the origin of the Portuguese expeditions.
Our next step will be to enjoy the history of the most famous cakes in the country. The Belém Cake.
Next, we will show you a hidden place, the legacy of what was one of the largest massacres that occurred in the city.
From here, we will begin to tour the most monumental part of the city: first, we will approach the Jerónimos Monastery to visit its church (whenever it is open), then we will go to the Plaza del Imperio, a symbol of the Empire Portuguese from the 15th-16th century.
Later, we will arrive at the Wind Rose, where we will discover exactly what routes Vasco da Gama or Bartolomeu Dias followed. In addition, we will get closer to admire the imposing Monument to the Discoveries.
The final point will be the Belém Tower.
