Overview
The tour begins at the Monumento ao Calceteiro, in Praça dos Restauradores, a key place to understand the independence of Portugal and the reconstruction of Lisbon after the earthquake of 1755. From here we will approach the Rossio Station and the Church of São Domingos, marked by fires and earthquakes.
We will continue through Praça da Figueira and Baixa Pombalina, overlooking the Castle of St. George, before entering Alfama. There we will visit the Church of St. Anthony, located in the birthplace of the saint, and the Sé de Lisboa, the oldest temple of the capital.
The tour includes the viewpoints of Santa Lucia and Portas do Sol, balconies overlooking the Tagus River, and ends at the Cais das Colunas, located in the Praça do Comércio, presided by the Arco da Rua Augusta.

On arrival
Meeting point: Next to the Calceteiro Monument, in front of the Avenida Palace Hotel (Metro Restauradores - Blue Line). Look for a blue-green flag with the name Paseando por Europa.
End point: Cais das Colunas.
Things to note
- Our guides will be identified with a blue-green flag with the name Strolling through Europe.
- Please arrive 15 minutes in advance as the tour will depart on time.
- Show the guide, at the meeting point, the booking confirmation email, either printed or by cell phone or tablet.
- If you will not be attending the tour, cancel your reservation so that someone else can take your place. Remember that there is no charge or surcharge.
- For groups of more than 6 adults, the price will be 8 euros per person, to be paid to the guide at the meeting point.
- A minimum of 6 participants is required for the excursion to take place.

How can the tour be free?
