To find out, we will go on a journey through 3000 years of history and trace back the most emblematic moments in the history of our vibrant city!

Having a close look at some of the most important events, we will get to understand why the city looks the way it does and what are the pillars of the Portuguese popular beliefs and traditions.

We will stroll through some of the most iconic neighborhoods and monuments in Lisbon. They will give us the opportunity to unveil local secrets. We will understand why the tiles, why the cicada, how and where the fado music originated, what is the deal with the tarts and how come the national dish in Portugal is not even Portuguese.

Passing by the neighborhoods of Baixa, Mouraria, Castelo, and Alfama, we will explore some of the most beautiful overlooks, important monuments and squares of the city, as well as some hidden gems, including an incredible palace that, even though embedded in the city center, very few people know about.

On arrival

We will meet right in the middle of Restauradores Square. There is a monument, that looks like an obelisc in the middle of the square. I will be having a Portuguese flag, so you can identify me. The closest metro station is on the blue line and it is called Restauradores.
