Overview of the tour in Madrid
From the second half of the 18th century on, it was the time of changes for Madrid and all of Spain. The man in power than was Carlos III - known as the "best mayor of Madrid." He spared no effort and money to make Madrid one of the main European metropolises. A number of prominent government buildings and cultural and scientific institutions were established during this time, including what is now known as one of the most famous and beautiful museums in the world, the Prado Museum.
The walk through the Madrid of the Bourbons and the Enlightenment allows us to remember a time of certain progress and optimism at different levels in the town. The best and most unknown civil, religious, and aristocratic buildings will be shown on this tour.
With us, you will be able to see the most representative monuments and know why Carlos III was named "the king mayor"; the literary trends that flourished or the political changes, sometimes convulsive of the time.
