Overview of the tour in Madrid

We will gradually discover the history of the city through anecdotes and legends that do not appear in history books. We will immerse ourselves in the ancient streets of a city full of curiosities and we will talk about its main protagonists.
The inbreeding of the Austrias, the ancient hygiene and medicine, the miracles of San Isidro, the macabre origin of certain sayings or the most famous thief of Madrid will be some of the main topics that we will touch in our tour.
We will cross the Villa de Madrid on our way to the old Jail of the city and the Plaza Mayor, seat of official acts, celebrations and tortures, closely related to the Inquisition and its famous Black Legend. Luis Candelas, the murderous frenzy of the Madrilenians in the 19th century and the oldest restaurant in the world will be waiting for us.
We will talk about the origin of Madrid's gastronomy, the history of jealousy, blood, betrayal and death of the Habsburgs and the legends of Charles V and finally, the story of the curious Almudena and its Virgin, the tragic end of the architect of the Royal Palace and the miracle of the blood of San Pantaleón.
