Free Tour of the Singular Trees of the Retiro Park
Overview of the tour in Madrid
Despite its historical and cultural interest, Retiro Park is of special botanical interest. In its 125 hectares, this urban park has more than 19,000 trees of 163 different species.
Among these species, there are some that, due to their rarity, size, age, size or historical, cultural, or scientific significance, constitute a heritage worthy of special protection by the Administration. These are the so-called singular trees.
There are currently 283 trees protected under this category, of which 8 are located in the Retiro. Throughout our tour, we will learn about each of these species and their historical and cultural relationship with the park.

I will be in front of the door of Felipe IV (access from Alfonso XII street) with a blue folder.

You will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes. There are drinking fountains and toilets along the tour. The guide reserves the right to cancel the tour due to adverse weather events (e.g., wind alert).
