Overview

Explore with us the true history of the Spanish Holy Inquisition, far from what foreign authors of the time claimed. We will address taboo subjects of the time such as magic or prostitution, and we will learn to distinguish between witchcraft and sorcery, the most popular methods of worship, rituals, and much more. All this with the Christian religion as a link.

We will know Malaga from a different perspective where real events that happened here will come to light, as well as we will discover the hidden side of the most emblematic monuments and places of the city.

A vital tour to understand the fundamentals of the Christian religion and customs as ours as Holy Week itself.

Plaza de la Marina, next to the tourist office. Look for the yellow umbrella of “Memories of Malaga” or the sign with “Memories of Malaga” inscribed on it!

Things to note

- Out of respect for customers who arrive on time, only five minutes of courtesy will be provided to the furthest behind, so to avoid any type of inconvenience it is recommended to be 10 minutes before the start of the visit.

- Reservations are necessary, either through the platform, email or by phone. Try to book at least 24 hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

- In our free tour reservations for more than 5 people are not allowed. If you are a larger group (from 6 people), you must book a private tour.

- Pets allowed.

- The tour may be subject to cancellations if there is not a minimum number of participants (4 pax) or there is bad weather.

“The Inquisition”

Lydia is the best guide I've ever had on a walking tour!!!! Everything she told us was exciting. We learned so much about the Inquisition. Her enthusiasm was contagious and we were eager to do another tour with her.

“Free Historical Tour of the Inquisition in Malaga”

I found the tour very good and the guide really extraordinary with extensive knowledge, which made the tour super enjoyable and we were nourished with a lot of information. I really regret that people do not value the effort of the guides and do not even leave the minimum tip stipulated, which I saw on this tour. Really Lidia a 10! I highly recommend her.

“Highly recommended ”

I love doing tours with different themes, where the guide has to show his knowledge in a specific field, and this tour was excellent. The guide told us historical curiosities about life in Malaga during the inquisition that we didn't know, in an entertaining and enjoyable way. I highly recommend this tour!

“No one from the organization showed up and no one told me about ”

I can't evaluate the content of this tour because no one from the organization showed up and no one told me, after receiving a confirmation email. I usually hire tours with this company but from now on I will seriously think about it.
