Overview of the tour in Malaga

We will begin our tour in the Plaza del Patrocinio, where we will offer a brief historical introduction about the Cemetery of San Miguel.

Afterwards, we will walk through its streets, highlighting the variety of types of burials. We will take a tour of the majestic pantheons, where we will learn about the most influential characters and families of Malaga and their impact on Malaga society. We will pay special attention to the role of the Brotherhoods and their particularities.

We will review significant historical events, such as the execution of General Torrijos, delving into its context and relevance. In our tour, we will highlight the rich and varied funerary symbolism of the cemetery, with special emphasis on the impressive Angel of Silence.

Finally, we will culminate the visit by accessing areas and rooms not usually open to the public, such as the annexes of the morgue and the autopsy rooms.

You will find the guide with a blue umbrella at the Plaza del Patrocinio, entrance to the San Miguel Cemetery.
