Northern Quarter Manchester Walking Tour
Overview of the tour in Manchester
Join on us a journey on foot, off the beaten-track - through Manchester’s Bohemian Northern Quarter neighbourhood.
Today, the Northern Quarter is Manchester’s independent district with a Bohemian character - it’s where actors rehearse and musicians perform, where hipsters sip craft ale and sift for rare vinyls, as techno-heads lose weekends in basements. This is where artists from all over the world come to use backstreets as canvasses to create the most unique street art. Yet only a few decades ago, the ‘Northern Quarter’ didn’t exist. Up until recently, people dismissed this part of Manchester as a dodgy jumble of derelict warehouses... but then something exciting began stirring - and that’s where our tour starts.
