Overview of the tour in Marco de Canaveses
Tour starts near Igreja Santa Maria in the center of the town, the church was designed by Siza Vieira, a famous portuguese architect, I start to tell the story of the church cause it’s more contemporary and then I briefly summarize the history of the city, its people, culture and traditions as we walk throught the City Garden where it has the founder’s bust and as we walk throught the center on the way to the Tâmega River where we will enjoy magnificient views of it, on the river, I talk a little bit about the monuments of the Romasneque Rout that we will find such as the Capela de São Lazáro, Igreja de São Nicolau and Igreja de santa Maria e Sobretamega, this one located in the Tâmega River Park, where we finish our tour.
We can take longer and deeper tours of the whole city and moutains, but it has to be by car and with value to match, as there are many beautiful and unexplired places to see.
