Overview

After Breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech, pick up at 9 am and depart towards the direction of Imlil Valley on the foothill of Mount Toubkal, 4167m, the highest peak in North Africa, one and & a half hours drive from there.

Arrive at Imlil Valley, meet your local guide at the center of the Imlil Atlas Mountains, and share a glass of mint tea on the roof terrace, enjoying the panoramic views over the Atlas Berber villages and Summit, including Tidli summit 2200m.

Briefing about the day and start the walk up to Tizi Notos Pass at 2000m, between the Imlil Valley and tamatert Valley, walking through the Berber villages and wawfrast Forest, quick break at the pass and continue up to the top, enjoying the stunning views over the Valleys and peaks covered with snow, unforgettable moment at the summit taking pictures while your guide explaining about the Atlas summits, valleys names, Berber lifestyle, and the Atlas history.

Walking down the same track to the Imlil Valley, lunch is in Ait Souka village.

Afternoon walk down to visit the waterfalls and drive back to Marrakech, 4 to 5 hours walking + 1 hour and 30 minutes driving.

“Excellent!”

Highly recommended! Day well spent with beautiful landscapes, guide that adusted to our small group and with great dinner prepared at home of guide. Despite Ramadan we were hosted in excellent way. Thank You Jamal to You and your wife!!

“A perfect city getaway”

We really enjoyed our tour with Mohamed as our guide. The communication was easy, everything went smooth. During the tour, he always kept us up to date what happens next, always asked if everyone was alright. We had the feeling that the camels had a good life: they were living in groups with their families and the owners were very gentle with them. The tour was the perfect getaway from the stressful city of Marrakech.

“pleasant rural day :)”

Mohammed was very attentive and cordial, he was very patient at all times saturday we visited a local flea market and we were eating local eating local food in a house at the foot of the mountain, recommended.

“A day of peace and good friends”

The truth is that both the guide (Mbark) and the driver (Noureddine) treated us like friends and everything was very pleasant. A spectacular experience highly recommended and that takes you away from the noise of the city. Paradisiacal views and a very pleasant walk surrounded by nature.

The guide Moubarak was very kind and friendly, his perfect French and Spanish made us feel at home, as well as Jamal and his kind family, very loving and close. Delicious food and beautiful excursion and explanation. We would definitely trust and travel with them again. We can't forget the kind, friendly driver joseph! Very funny, funny and close! “Great introduction to Atlas Mountains”

Spent a really enjoyable day in the Atlas Mountains, experiencing different aspects of local life. From the start, everyone we met was professional and friendly and I felt well taken care of the whole day. Lassan the driver, Omar our guide and Jamal the owner were all really welcoming and I greatly enjoyed their company. This day tour is a great way to spend a day in and around Imlil if you don’t have enough time to do a longer tour or trek. Also the camel ride was hilarious, my mother got motion sickness afterwards!

“Incredible day trip - A must if you're going to visit Marrakech”

If you're ever in Marrakech you should try out this excursion. A car will pick you up at your riad or hotel to take you to Imlil, a very charming bereber village in the High Atlas mountains. The hike was wonderful and it was nice to get away from the city and visiting a different part of Morocco. Our guide Jamal also treated us to a delicious and copious lunch which which we really appreciated after the morning hike and the camel ride was also a fantastic experience. Every person involved in the trip was really kind and thoughtful. A five out of five experience, highly recommendable and very affordable.
