Do you know the connection between Marseille and the city of Valencia? Where does the name of the Sacred Forest come from? What is the mischievous and hidden symbolism behind the typical sweets, the navettes? The stones of the forts and winding lanes of the route are the perfect place to narrate these stories and many more, while we make our way down from the imposing views of the city as seen from Notre-Dame de la Garde, to the viewpoints and gardens of the imperial Palais du Pharo.

Our tour will start at the Basilica’s parking, near the stairs. Just where the bus number 60 make its last stop. Look for our PURPLE umbrella! You may take bus number 60 at the Vieux Port, it will get to the Basilica in 15 minutes. It is important to be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour starts.
