Ancestral Trail hiking tour Santa Elena, Park Arvi
Overview of the tour in Medellin
Your hike starts by walking through a trail road that will lead us to Park Arvi Natural Reserve. It is located about 4.5 miles from Medellin city.
You will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of plants, like orchids, bromeliads, anthuriums, and mosses, as you walk surrounded by natural cedar and pine forests. Bird watching is common as well. This reservoir houses around 69 bird species, along with several other amphibian and mammal species.
You will get to a viewpoint where you can see Medellin City from the tip of the mountain and then continue to La Laguna de Guarne, a natural pond in the middle of the reservoir.
Last but not least, you will walk through an ancestral road still embedded in the reservoir that was made with stones hundreds of years ago. The tour ends at the Park Arvi Metrocable station.
