Comuna 13 Free Tour: Discover the Transformation
Overview
My name is Sara and I invite you to live a great experience in the commune 13 of Medellin, in the company of a local guide.
Our guides will tell you about their experiences in that period of terror for them and their families, who witnessed the cruelty of the clashes between the different armed groups. You will witness the social transformation through urban art.
We will find in the tour artistic murals with historical significance told by your guide, street shows, (dances and improvisation) you can make your own graffiti, you will climb to the viewpoint, through the escalators from where you can see much of the commune 13 and Medellin. We will go into the alleys and quiet stairways, leaving aside the touristy and enjoying yourself as if you were a local.
You will also find urban art galleries, souvenir sales, the traditional ice cream of Comuna 13 (mango, biche and maracumango), typical gastronomy and much more.
At the end of the tour, if you wish you can continue exploring more of the Comuna on your own or our guide will accompany you back to the transportation.

Our Guides
On arrival
Our guides wear light blue shirts and light blue umbrellas (Parce Tours).
We will be waiting for you at the San Javier metro station, line B. There are two exits, DO NOT EXIT through the Metrocable side, but through the main exit.
If you arrive by car: Carrera 99 # 45-26, San Javier, Medellín (San Javier Metro Station)
We will take public transportation, paying with the metro card or cash (Route 1 COP 2.000 per person) (Route 2 COP 2.600 per person)
Things to note
- Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and for prevention, sunscreen and in case of rain, waterproof jacket or umbrella.
- You can tip in cash (COP, Dollar, Euros) through the app, Paypal, Nequi, card payment link.
