Overview of the tour in Medellin

I want to give everyone the opportunity to deeply understand how Comuna 13 in Medellín went from being one of the most violent squatter settlements to one of the most visited and popular tourist spots in this amazing city.

I’m not your typical tour guide. I truly enjoy showing my neighborhood and how music, dance, and education have impacted society, even in the toughest conditions and contexts. I’ve studied the history of my territory, lived here most of my life, learned my second language here, and became a social leader and artist, working every day to keep the legacy of Hip Hop transformation alive.

The tour includes a full description of the area's interaction with locals, where I’ll teach you local slang and customs and be your translator. I’ll introduce you to the local food art scene and even offer a free coffee prepared by me! I can also show you the neighborhood’s vibrant nightlife.

My mission is to provide everyone with a real experience and continue learning from people around the world. Thanks, and welcome to COMUNA 13!

The meeting point will be at the main entrance of San Javier Metro Station. The best way to get there is by metro line "B" or by Uber cab.

Things to note

There are lots of stairs on this tour. Also, the weather in Medellín is very unpredictable. Please dress accordingly.
