Overview of the tour in Medellin
Historical and Cultural Medellín is a fascinating tour that reveals the transformation of the city from its industrial roots to its artistic and cultural flourishing. This journey begins at the Old Antioquia Railroad Station, a symbol of the region's economic progress, and continues to the La Alpujarra Administrative Center, the epicenter of political power.
The tour passes by the iconic Parque de las Luces, a tribute to urban renewal, and the majestic National Palace, an architectural jewel. Then, visit the imposing Rafael Uribe Palace, an emblem of republican history. The Plaza Botero, with its sculptures by Fernando Botero, is an encounter with modern art in the middle of the city center. Pedro Nel Gómez murals add color and historical narrative to this walk.
