Welcome to Our City Tour!
Meeting Point: Meet us at the entrance of "Medallo Coffee"next to "Tienda Conrado."
Address: Cl. 38a #108-08, Veinte De Julio, San Javier, Medellín, Antioquia

Public Transportation:
Once you arrive at the Poblado station, take metro line A, heading south, to north towards the San Antonio station.
When you arrive at San Antonio station, transfer to San Javier station.
At the San Javier station, you can take the "El 20 de Julio" bus, or you can walk approximately 20 minutes to the meeting point.
Tips: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.

Things to note

Timing:
The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Please be punctual as we cannot wait for late arrivals.

Weather Considerations:
Dress comfortably and check the weather forecast. Bring an umbrella or rain jacket if rain is expected!

“Perfect experience with a local hero!”

Alejandro Giften us with a great tour. He is a very nice and charismatic guide who is well Connecticut in the comuna and therefore we could experience some nice interactions with the people doing the best out of the comuna's history. We wish him all the best. PS: Your camera skills are good!

“Best tour of my life”

This tour was probably the favourite walking tour of my life. The guide Alejandro treated it more like a conversation, gave us value information, had dinner with us. Gave us great recommendations and his energy was contagious. Alejandro you’re built for this and we love you.

“Authentic - Local - Excellent Tour with Alejandro!”

Our tour with Alejandro was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel like we were just hanging out with a local friend. He shared so much about the history of Comuna 13—the struggles, the resilience, and the impact of past events on the community—giving us a real insider’s perspective. We got to meet many locals, including a talented artist in his studio, where we learned about the vibrant music scene born right within the comuna. Alejandro was not only knowledgeable but also kind and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Along the way, we indulged in delicious local treats like buñuelos, mango and dulce de leche popsicles, and the traditional fermented drink, chicha. We had also planned to stop for a chocolate and coffee tasting, but we got so caught up in an engaging conversation about Colombia’s history that we ran out of time! By the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend. If you’re visiting Comuna 13, we highly recommend booking a tour with Alejandro!

“Great tour with lovely guide ”

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the tour a lot. It was very interesting and we learned a lot of the history of the comuna. We have been a small group of 5 people and it was very personalized. Alejandro is a nice guy and you can see his passion for his work. We had a coffee and chivas tasting and got a good overview of the comuna 13. We highly recommend this tour with Alejandro. Thank you for the nice morning and the lovely lunch together after the tour.

“Private Costumised Tour ”

We booked our tour less then 24 h before it started. Alexandro was easy to find in the groups of people, the communa/ meeting point was crowded these days. He adapted the tour to our wishes easily, it was only us who booked a tour on this day. It was really nice and relaxed. We can recommend this guide completely. He had a lot of insight and special tips for us. We would do it again!

“Thank you for those wonderful experience! ”

I have booked two days ago a wonderful tour guided by Alejandro. Allthough an other group has canceled short term, he offered to do it alone - so I was able to have a private tour. Thank you so much for those wonderful experience, dear Alejandro. I have learned a lot about the history, the changes and the current situation in Communa 13 and a lot more about Medellin and Colombia as well, while we had enough time. Absolutly too recommend! If you are interested in history contect, do not pass to book this tour. Thanks for the best tour I ever had.
