Free Historic Downtown Tour Medellin
Overview
Get to know one of the most important and relevant cultures in the history of our country: the paisas! The Historic Center of Medellín is the best living example we have to show what we were and who we are.
We will immerse ourselves among its streets and its people to understand the history, development, conflict, and social commitment of an inclusive and innovative Medellín!
From the hand of local “Paisas” guides you will understand how we reverted our dark and violent past, a product of the drug trafficking of the 80s and 90s, into a bright future that made us stronger thanks to the collective resilient effort and social investment that today allows us to walk, visit and live in the city of “Eternal Spring”.
On this guided tour we will visit the unmissable places of the city such as the “Plaza de Botero” and “La Libertad”, “Parque de las Luces” and “Los Pies Descalzos”; we will move between passages, we will cross the famous Junin street, and we will discover the essence of the center of Medellín.

MEETING POINT: In front of the “Museo de Antioquia” at the Botero Square. (Red Umbrellas)

TOUR PRICE: We offer it for free, but we accept donations based on your satisfaction (people donate voluntarily around $50.000 COP each). That said, you donate what you consider the Tour worth it.
WEATHER: Our Tour is NEVER canceled due to rain. Medellín has a bipolar climate, so it changes all the time, so if it rains, don't worry ;)
BRING Runners, Sun Screen, Umbrella, Money, Rain Gear, and Sunglasses.

1) You'll be contacted via email in order to confirm your participation. If you don't write us back confirming your participation we won't schedule a guide for your booking.
2) If you decided NOT TO PARTICIPATE anymore, we kindly ask you to “CANCEL MY BOOKING” at the bottom part of the email you received from Freetour.com.
How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to $50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
