The free tour of Medellin starts at the metro station ALPUJARRA. We meet ON THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE by the NORTH ticket booth of ”Alpujarra” METRO STATION.

For Uber or Google Maps, enter “Real City Tours” as your destination. That's it :)

Look for the red umbrella.

Things to note

- The Free Tour is well designed in terms of pace, distance and shelter in case of rain. It includes a break for snacks and toilet. It takes between 3 and 3.5 hours.
- We do not cancel because of weather; our tours run rain or shine!
- Bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat/cap, water, and many questions, we love those! An umbrella or raincoat during the rainy season wouldn’t be a bad idea.

“Awesome tour!”

This tour goes further than just what information about the city. The history and storie of the city is told by a local who is very honest about the development of the city, the downside and how they got out of it and live the most positive life you can imagine. I recommend this tour to anyone who is really interested in the original storie of the city. The guide was Amazing!

“Super good walking tour”

Suzie is an excellent tour guide with her very charming and loving way of being. She’s very knowledgeable, well organized and structured, speaks excellent English with an easy understandable pronunciation. We really enjoyed the downtown tour with her and would highly recommend!!!

“An experience not to be missed for a paisa (and tourists)”

I am from Medellin and I did the tour with German just to accompany a friend, I really loved every moment, they explain everything super clear, they show you the good, the bad and the ugly of Medellin, but always conveying how beautiful and loving the city is. 100% recommended! Even paisas should do it

“Walking Tour of Medillin ”

Great tour, good pace and a great overview of downtown. Please tip well as it is worth the recommend tip plus. I was very happy to find I was not pushed into gift shops and money traps as it was truly a real city tour. But, Plan to go shopping awhile before or after your tour because you will be in the middle of a shopping district.

“Excellent, informative and interactive tour”

Hernan was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and created a very powerful nartative throughout the course of the tour and we were fully engaged throughout. We walked around a large part of the downtown area and Hernan allowed us to feel safe and advised us on areas to avoid after dark. We had a break halfway through for a toilet stop and to buy a drink. This was the first thing we did in Medellin and I would highly recommend to anyone else coming to Medellin.
