Overview of the tour in Merida
Our Free Tour with Official Guides offers an exciting and enjoyable way to explore one of the main Archaeological Sites of Spain, declared a World Heritage Site.
We will start at the National Museum of Roman Art, in front of the Theater-Amphitheater, and continue to the Portico of the Forum, the Temple of Diana, the Santiaguista Convent, and the Arab Alcazaba of Merida, next to the Roman Bridge over the Guadiana River.
We will visit the Plaza de España with the Cathedral of Santa María and other emblematic buildings, as well as the Convent of Santa Clara, the Hospital San Juan de Dios, the Arch of Trajan, the Calatrava Market, and the Puerta de la Villa.
After an hour and a half tour, we will finish at the National Museum of Roman Art.

You will find us at the door of the National Museum of Roman Art. We carry a green umbrella.
Things to note
- The free tours do not have a fixed price; each person gives the guide at the end the amount he/she considers appropriate, according to his/her satisfaction with the tour.
- For this guided tour, we do not accept reservations for groups of more than 6 people. For larger groups, either on the same or different reservations, €8 per adult must be paid before the tour begins. If payment is not made, we will not be able to accept them on the tour and the guide may ask them to leave the tour.
- According to the decree 37/2015 of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, the guide must charge a fee for this service. The price will be one euro per attendee.
