Private Tour Around Messina
Overview
Founded by the Greeks in the VIIIth century BC, the city was entirely destroyed by an earthquake in 1908. Nowadays, the city shines because of its elegant, eclectic style and breathtaking views.
From the Town Hall square, we will reach the prestigious Catalans Church. We will then walk towards the Cathedral and its sophisticated bell tower. We will point at the emblems of the reconstruction: the Church of Montalto and the Sanctuary of Cristo Re from the Cathedral's square, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, and the refined Post Office and Telegraph Palace.
We will also be looking at the culinary traditions and local specialties, and there will be a little surprise for all the participants at the end of the tour.
I will accompany you through the whole tour, answering all your questions and providing you with useful information for your stay in Sicily.

You will find me on the Town Hall square (Piazza Unione Europea), located opposite the harbour.
I'll be carrying the Sicilian red and yellow flag.

The Cathedral will be visited both from the outside and the inside.
Suitable clothes (no swimming suits or shorts for example) are suggested during the visit.
Make sure you are well protected against the sun on hot days and that you have a bottle of water with you.
