Overview

This tour aims to change the perception that many people may have about the non-touristy neighborhoods of Mexico City. In addition, throughout the tour, it will be possible to appreciate a lot of street art, which gives a touch of color and joy to that overwhelming and endless sea of houses.

The meeting point is right in front of the Hemiciclo a Juárez, a white round monument that is very easy to find. Since I always prefer to have small groups me interacting with people comes before anything else, I always find my guests by sending you a message a few minutes before the tour so you know how I am dressed at that moment.

Things to note

* Once we meet at the meeting point, we will walk to the Bellas Artes metro station to go to the Cableway whose terminal is located right next to the last metro station which is Constitución de 1917. Once there we will start with the cable car ride.
* Everyone will have to pay for their transportation fees. Make sure to bring cash, since it will not be possible to pay with a card in any of the
places we visit.
*This tour is ideal for those who love off-the-beaten-path experiences.
*The cableway is not a tourist attraction, so it could be that in some cases there are local people in the same car as us.
*Some people may feel dizzy while in the cable car.
* The tour ends at the Constitución de 1917 metro station. Once there, it is up to each one how to take the way back.
*As a guide we have to pay a fee every time someone books, so if you are unsure about taking the tour or you change your plans, please cancel the tour! Respect my work and time :)

“Exploring Mexico City by Cable Car”

Oskar is a wonderful tour guide! Oscar knows all about Mexico City, past & present and generously shared this information with us. We enjoyed exploring a part of Mexico City that we would not have otherwise seen. By using the Cable Bus, we were able to get a view of the expansiveness of Mexico City from above. We highly recommend this tour & Oskar as a tour guide.

“Accommodating guide, great views from cable car”

We ended up going on a slightly different route by our choice since the four of us were the only people in the group that day. Oscar was very accommodating to our interests, and at the end of the tour helped us with directions to our next activity. The commentary he provided was interesting and relevant.

“Very good”

Oskar picked us up on time at the agreed meeting point and accompanied us on the metro and cable car ride with lots of information. He was very responsive to the needs of our young child and adapted the tour to suit. We felt safe at his side at all times. So we highly recommend the tour! Thank you, Oskar :)

“Get off the beaten track”

We enjoyed this unique four hour tour of 10 kilometers cable car ride and we highly recommend it especially with Oskar . We took the subway with him to the cable car, he helped us understanding the best ways to use the subway safely. We felt safe throughout the tour. Oskar is very open and communicates very well in English. He has provided us with many facts about the region, its development, its community and also about the history of CDMX. He was very generous with his knowledge. This tour is really worth it especially thanks to Oskar.

“The real Mexico City”

Very good tour with very knowledgable guide who is enthusiastic to show visitiors the "real" side of the city. Highly recommendable for anyone who wants to go beyond the usual tourist attractions. You can also hire Oskar for private tours. He is a top man!

“Seeing the cable car with a tour guide is the best way to do it.”

“Totally worth it”

The tour was really nice. Oscar speaks very well in English. The cable car was awsome. We spent easily 3-4 hours with him. We even stopped at the markek in the neighborhood. I felt completely safe in the area, I’ve never felt in danger during the guide tour. Thank you Oscar !

“An excellent day spent seeing and learning about local neighborh”

I spent half a day with Oskar riding the cable car, learning about the history of mexico and different neighborhoods along the cable car parh. Oskar is very knowledgeable, laid back and quite giving with his information and wants to learn/hear about you. I WOULD HIGHLY recommend taking the tour and asking for Oskar
