Free Tour Milan from the Leonardo Canals
Overview of the tour in Milan
This free tour in Spanish will show you Milan from a much more fascinating point of view than the common one and will give you the feeling of being part of this magnificent city.
We start our tour in Plaza Gae Aulenti. I will show you the new buildings awarded worldwide for their beauty and design. Then we will continue through Corso Como until the Garibaldi Gate, former Comasina Gate; near this place we will enter the centre of Milan through the “Ponte delle gabelle”, place where the “Naviglio della Martesana” ingrasaba and where you can see the great hydraulic work done by Leonardo da Vinci to connect the city through “i navigli“: the locks of the channels. Then we followed the route taken by the canals and arrived at the Brera Art Academy and its Bohemian neighbourhood. We continue walking until we find the Sforzesco Castle; we will know its history and its impressive architecture. Then we went along Via Dante to Plaza Cordusio: the Milanese agogo of the previous millennium. In the end, we finished our tour in the Duomo of Milan.
