Overview

From the place where the first fort was installed in the 1700s to control access through the Río de la Plata to the heart of South America, passing through the remains of the wall of the old city invaded several times, to the multicultural capital port that is the cradle of candombe rhythm and tango music.

Art, history, architecture, beaches, parks, and customs in the capital of Uruguay. A city that was baptized as the Athens of the River Plate or the Switzerland of America. Montevideo is a unique and universal place.

“Very interesting!”
Jorge is very communicative, he manages to tell us about the history of the city in a very practical and engaging way, even though we don't speak Spanish as our native language. He answered all our questions and even showed us places we could visit for free! He definitely added a lot to our visit to Montevideo!
