Overview of the tour in Mumbai
Mumbai boasts a variety of architectural styles, including Victorian Gothic, Neo-Gothic, Indo-Saracenic, and Art Deco. On this experience, I’ll take you through the city's heritage area where we’ll explore these iconic buildings. We’ll start at the Gateway of India, followed by a visit to the city's oldest 5-star hotel. From there, we’ll walk to Mumbai's art district, visit the city's oldest cricket ground, and see the University of Mumbai along with Mumbai’s own Big Ben.
You’ll also get to experience the Miami vibes of Mumbai, not just by the beach, but through the Art Deco buildings around. We’ll pass by the Bombay High Court, the second-largest building in the city, and see a historically significant site responsible for the formation of Maharashtra. As we continue, we’ll admire the beautiful Flora Fountain, walk past the mansion of wealthy merchant Sir Cowasji Jehangir, and visit Mumbai's first cathedral, marking the starting point of the city.
We’ll also take in the old Town Hall, see the Indian Post Office headquarters, and end the tour at the magnificent Victoria Terminus station, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
