Overview

Join me on a winter adventure! We will walk through the hidden, alternative neighborhoods of the city and immerse ourselves in a unique cultural diversity.

At the end of the tour we will visit one of the coolest Christmas markets in Munich :) Even the New York Times couldn't resist one of our highlights, the "Alte Utting", and wrote: "WILL MUNICH BE COOL? STOP BY THE BRIDGE AFTER THE BOAT.

Alongside street art and cultural centers made of shipping containers and wood, we delve into over 700 years of history in these lesser-known neighborhoods south of the city center.

Our tour takes us along the Isar to the other side, to one of the last authentic districts, "Giesing", with its very own charm.

On arrival

I'll be waiting for you on Zenettiplatz, by the turquoise and green street furniture (Piazza Zenetti) (on the corner of Tumblingerstrasse and Zenettistrasse). You can easily recognize me by my yellow winter hat, my yellow backpack and a big blue presentation folder in my hands.

How to get there: It's best to get off at the U3/U6 subway station Goetheplatz and walk 10 minutes to Zenettiplatz.

Dress warmly for the winter weather.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking.
Bring a camera to capture the beautiful sights.

“Excellent!”

Philip is a former architect which makes him a perfect guide for this tour. He also has an attractive story telling style. Even though I live close to what we have seen in the tour, most of them were novel to me.

“Unusual sites of Munich”

This was one of the best tours of Munich I have taken. Since the tour guide is an architect, he was able to point out many details about buildings that A nonprofessional person would not know. if you’re looking for a tour that is interesting, I would recommend this tour.

“Unique, Unique, Unique ”

We have gone on a number of city tours. This was by far the most unique. We went to areas of Munich that we would never have visited on our own. Nothing on this tour is in the tour books. Very interesting!

“Amazing!!!!”

I would highly recommend this tour with Phillip, it was really nice and the time goes so fast with literally zero boredom cuz all the places to see and the stories and facts that are told are just so cool and interesting!!
