Guided Walking Tour of Muttrah in French
Overview of the tour in Muscat
We will start our tour at the Tourist Office Hub. We will then walk to the fish market, I will give you some background regarding the building and an account of the fish trade throughout Oman's history.
We will walk to the back of the market as we look over to the anchored ships. I will explain how important Oman's maritime history was, and we will then walk along the corniche.
There, I will share some historical facts about the old houses and the corniche, and we will stop opposite the blue mosque for an account of Islam in Oman.
We will then make our way to the Muttrah Souq. I will share the details of the frankincense and spice trades, and we will head to the back of the souq for some more interesting historical facts. We will finally head to the Muttrah Fort and talk about key events in Oman's history.

We will meet in front of the Tourist Office Hub in Muttrah, at coordinates JHF6+5P£, Muscat. I will be wearing an "I Love Oman" T-shirt.
Things to note
Although the entrance to the Muttrah Fort is not included, you are free to choose to visit it at the end of our tours. The entry costs 3 OMR.
