Overview of the tour in Nairobi

We will have a walk within the Central Business District to the Railway Museum which is located next to the main Railway Station. Within the museum, we have 2 sections i.e, The Gallery section and the Outdoor section:

Gallery Section
A walk inside the gallery will reveal to you a fascinating collection of historic maps, photographs, artifacts, models, and furniture. We will be guided by the staff and have an explanation of every artifact within the Museum

Outdoor Section
The outdoor section welcomes you to the historic steam engines & coaches to experience the ‘Steam age’. The grounds are also available for hire for events, picnics, photo & video shoots, modeling, and weddings.

Within the Museum there is also a Resource Centre. This is priceless to Railway historians and researchers. It contains old railway records, correspondence, books on the construction of the railway, maps, annual reports, and thousands of historic photographs dating back to 1896.

Within the two and half hours of our walk, there is too much that we will have learned and enjoyed the atmosphere within the museum

The meeting point is at Co-operative Bank Haile Selassie avenue directly opposite the Railways Bus stop. The meeting time as indicated is 10:00hrs sharp and 14:00hrs sharp

Kindly note that you will be required to pay the entrance fee. Further, I would advise that you carry drinking water and snacks. Please also have very comfortable shoes on as our tour will be on foot
