Overview of the tour in Palma de Mallorca

Guided tour with a Mallorcan in which we will go through the history of the many civilizations that settled in the city over the more than 2,000 years since its construction by the Romans.

Starting the tour in the Plaza de la Reina, we will go to the Historic Quarter, where we will visit the buildings and churches with more history of Palma, the trace of the passage of the Jewish civilization that were allies in the reconquest of the island by Jaime I from the Muslims.

We will visit the streets with more history, before heading towards the wall overlooking the bay and reach the Cathedral Santa Maria.

We will finish with an explanation of the Royal Palace of the Almudaina, the old Almoravid Alcazar. We will continue to the Huerto del Rey, very close to the beginning of the tour.

Final gift: a brochure with the best tips to enjoy Mallorca.

There are explanations and photographs of the interior of the places, but we do not visit the interior of any building. Although there are several sites where visitors will be able to access free of charge.

On arrival

We will find ourselves in the Plaza de la Reina, located at the end of Paseo del Borne. Next to the fountain there is a square with trees and stone benches, behind a bus stop where there is also a sign indicating cab rank, just in front you can see a pharmacy.

Things to note

The visit includes an explanation of historical interest and curiosities. At the end of the tour you will receive a brochure with tips on how to enjoy typical Mallorcan food, the most beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and white sand, charming villages and much more.

During the tour there are no bathrooms, remember that it will be 1:30 of walking. Depending on the group, the route can be extended between 10 and 20' for reasons of breaks, photos and walking pace.

The route has 2 sections of stairs a little long, if you have a baby stroller with my help we can pass them without any problem. If you are a Person with Reduced Mobility you can make a very similar alternative route with some small deviations in two streets to avoid the stairs.
