Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Palma

Overview of the tour in Palma de Mallorca

Guided tour with a Mallorcan in which we will go through the history of the many civilizations that settled in the city over the more than 2,000 years since its construction in 123 BC by the Romans.

Starting at the Plaza de la Reina, we will head towards the Plaza de Cort (City Hall) where we will begin to enter the Historic Quarter. We will visit the most beautiful and ancient churches of Palma, the trace of the passage of the Jewish civilization that were allies in the reconquest of the island by Jaime I from the Muslims.

We will visit the streets with more history, before heading to the Cathedral Santa Maria built over a mosque and built facing the bay.

We will finish with a visit to the Royal Palace of the Almudaina, the old Almoravid Alcazar. We will continue to the Huerto del Rey, very close to the beginning of the tour.

Explanations are given and photographs of the interior of the places are shown, but we do not visit the interior of any building.

On arrival

We will find ourselves in the Plaza de la Reina, located at the end of Paseo del Borne. Next to the fountain there is a square with trees and stone benches, behind a bus stop where there is also a sign indicating cab rank, just in front you can see a pharmacy.
