Next, we’ll drive to the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center for a close-up view of the iconic Panama Canal in action, a true engineering marvel built in 1914. This vital landmark plays a crucial role in the global economy, offering a major shortcut for ships traveling between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. The visitor center also features an IMAX theater for an in-depth look at the canal’s history.
