Overview of the tour in Paramaribo

Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Paramaribo, where you'll travel by air-conditioned bus for a 3-hour ride south. Then, hop into a dugout canoe for a 3-4 hour journey, depending on river levels, to reach the Royal Masia River Lodge, your base for 3 nights in cozy, eco-friendly cabins.

From here, we'll explore nearby villages, embark on canoe tours along the Upper Suriname River, and visit the Saramacca Maroon community, reaching the stunning confluence of the Gran-Rio and Pikien-Rio. You'll also have the chance to visit the Upper Maroon Chief and the local hospital.

We offer an itinerary that blends nature, history, and culture. Contact me to join this unforgettable experience!
