Between Right and Left Banks of Paris
Overview of the tour in Paris
The tour starts from the monumental Louvre which is part of the major monuments in Paris. You'll learn a lot about it. But just after that, we'll walk away to less famous places. We'll cross the Pont des Arts. This was historically a favourite spot for artists, and you’ll still see painters on the bridge.
We’ll stop after that at the famous French pastry Ladurée. The tour will lead us to the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. It’s one of the oldest churches in Paris with foundations that date back to the third century. Across from the church lets’ discover two of the Left Bank’s most famous cafés – the Deux Magots and Café de Flore.
A few steps away will lead us to the Marche St Germain, a big covered market selling fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and cheese. At the end of the road is St Sulpice church. It’s Paris’ second-largest church after Notre-Dame. We'll end the visit in the Luxembourg Gardens, a green oasis that stretches over 22 hectares with lawns, fountains, and statues as well as the Musée du Luxembourg, an art museum which is set inside a former orangery.
