Montmartre Free Tour in the City of Paris
Overview of the tour in Paris
Montmartre is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Paris. Located on the highest hill in the city, it has been home to numerous famous artists and writers, from the impressionist painter Toulouse-Lautrec to the painter Vincent van Gogh. Montmartre has long been characterized by its unique charm. The steep, narrow streets mingle with old buildings and small bars, cafes and stores. It is a place where time seems to have stood still and the beauty of Parisian architecture remains intact.
Some of the world's most important artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, have left their mark on the neighborhood. At the bottom of the hill is the famous Basilica of the Sacré Coeur, built in the 19th century and considered one of the most impressive monuments in the city. From the terrace of the church, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and all the monuments of Montmartre.
