Overview
Join us on a journey through the elegance of Paris, where you’ll have the chance to witness some of the most iconic and breathtaking locations in the City of Light. Paris’s beauty and monumentality are truly impressive, and we’ll delve into its past during the 19th century, a time of great transformation both socially and architecturally.
On this tour, we’ll visit some noteworthy sites, starting with the Church of La Madeleine, originally designed as a temple to honor Napoleon. We’ll also see the largest square in Paris, La Concorde and one of the most stunning, the Obelisk of Luxor, from Ancient Egypt. This spot, marked by the blood of the French Revolution, was renamed “Concorde” in the 19th century to symbolize peace and harmony.
Next, we’ll stroll along the Champs-Élysées, one of the most fashionable and prestigious addresses in Paris during the 19th century. Along this avenue, we’ll admire many grand buildings, including the Grand Palais and Petit Palais. Our tour will then lead us to the history of The Invalides. Today, it houses Napoleon’s tomb, and its impressive gold dome makes it one of the most beautiful monuments in Paris.
