Walking Tour of the Latin Quarter
Overview of the tour in Paris
For over 2000 years, the Latin Quarter's landmarks have been shaped by the history of Paris.
Built atop the St Geneviève, the Latin Quarter covers most of the 5th arrondissement and parts of the 6th. We will cover some of the most famous buildings in the area such as the Pantheon, but also take the time to look at the history behind St Etienne du Mont, a Parisian marvel of assembled architectural styles.
Immerse yourself in the daily life of Parisians living in the Latin Quarter at the old Ecole Polytechnique buildings and the Jardin des Plantes, or understand the foundations of Paris through the Arenes and the old medieval walls of Phillippe Augustus.
