Free Tour to Historic and Monumental Plasencia
Overview of the tour in Plasencia
The tour starts at the Plaza Mayor, where we will tell you about the origin of the medieval city and some curious details about buildings such as the Town Hall, the Abuelo Mayorga and the Casita de Chocolate.
We will continue towards the wall, making a stop at the Convent of the Capuchinas. Then, we will go to the Berrozana Gate, located in the medieval wall.
Our route continues to the Plaza de San Nicolas, where we will explore the Mirabel Palace, the Convent of San Vicente Ferrer and the Church of San Nicolas. We will also visit the Palace of the Monroy family in the Rincón de San Nicolás.
Finally, we will arrive at the Cathedral Square, which houses the most important Monumental Ensemble of Plasencia, with the Old Cathedral, the New Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace and the Dean's House.
After an hour and a half, we will return to the Plaza Mayor to conclude this wonderful tour of the medieval city of Plasencia.

Our Guides
On arrival
We will meet at the Plaza Mayor of Plasencia, under the clock of the Town Hall. We carry a white umbrella.
Things to note
- The free tours do not have a fixed price; each person gives the guide at the end the amount he/she considers appropriate, according to his/her satisfaction with the tour.
- For this guided tour, we do not accept reservations for groups of more than 6 people. For larger groups, either on the same or different reservations, €8 per adult must be paid before the tour begins. If payment is not made, we will not be able to accept them on the tour and the guide may ask them to leave the tour.
- According to the decree 37/2015 of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, the guide must charge a fee for the service. It will be one euro per attendee.
