Overview of the tour in Porto
Constructed during the Middle-Ages, Porto was built as a religious and monastic walled city. Around the 12th century, the demographic core started to manifest in the Cathedral area, moving towards the riverside waterfront.
This walking tour is devoted to beautiful and religious architecture that can be found the city, such as Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. Despite the fact that this tour focuses on Christian monuments and churches, we will also see the ancient remains of what used to be the Jewish Quarter, which is considered to be one of the greatest influences in this city.
