We offer tours of the historic parts of Old Portsmouth.

Portsmouth has played a central role in world events through its long association with the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, and the British Army. From its Roman origins, its development as a key military location to today's vibrant laid-back wining &dining experiences Old Portsmouth has much to offer people of all ages.

Guides have an unrivaled knowledge of historic Portsmouth. The tour includes stories of pirates to ghosts, battles to beaches & love stories, all supported by lots of quirky/funny facts!

Tours can be from 30 mins to get a flavor of the old town, 60 mins, or a full tour taking 90 mins. It is suitable for children, teens, adults & senior citizens. The full tour route is approximately 2 miles and wheelchair/mobility scooter friendly. We are also dog friendly.

For our international visitors, summary sheets are available in a wide range of languages so you won't miss out on any of the exciting information.

Please note: we do not enter the Historic Dockyard or go up the Spinnaker Tower on this tour.

On arrival

The tours start from the Mudlarks Memorial (little girl & gent), 30m outside & to the left of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard entrance.

The Hard Bus Interchange, Portsmouth Harbour station, or the Gosport Ferry is 75m from the starting point. There is local parking in Wickham Street multi-story (PO1 3EF).

Guides wear a union jack waistcoat so you can't miss us!
