Social History Tour by the Colonial City
Overview of the tour in Potosi
Our adventure begins at the Koala Tour office in the central plaza, where we'll explore historic landmarks like the First and Second Mints, the Cathedral, and the churches of San Francisco and San Lorenzo. Discover Pichincha, the first major school of the republic, stroll along the iconic Boulevard and Pneumonia streets, and visit a viewpoint at 4,100 meters.
Step inside the old San Carlos bank, the armory of the Spanish soldiers, and the home of Francisco Rocha, the count and counterfeiter. Experience traditional dances, music, and customs, and enjoy tasting local treats like tawa tawas, ice creams, and exotic fruits. Learn native languages like Quechua and Aymara, explore the vibrant central market, and see the city's new side.
