Punta del Este Walking Tour
Overview of the tour in Punta del Este
This walking tour of the peninsula will show you the most interesting landmarks of Punta del Este's peninsula. From Parada 1, Mansa Beach, we'll find the artsy promenade, Mansa and Brava beaches, and the birthplace of the "chivito" (Punta del Este's signature sandwich).
Next, we will see the Paseo de las Americas, a collection of sculptures by Latin American artists, including the picturesque “hand” on the beach. After that, it is time to check out Punta's most famous streets: Gorlero Ave, 20th St. (El Remanso), and the famous Rambla de Circumbalación (promenade). These include shopping areas, sights, restaurants, crafts, and gorgeous views of the bay and port, where we'll head next.
We'll learn about the port's history and see some local wildlife. To finish, we'll arrive at the lighthouse square, where the church and weather station can be found, just before finishing at Punta Salinas, the southernmost point in Uruguay, which is not short in scenery and history.
This activity includes:
- Our Lady of the Candelaria
- Paseo de Las Américas
- Parada 1 Playa Mansa
- Faro de Punta del Este
