Overview
For the following tour, we will first go to the Mitad del Mundo citadel, where we will be able to appreciate the largest monument referring to the study carried out by the French geodesic mission on the passage of this equinoctial line through these lands (the imaginary line that divides the planet into two hemispheres: North and South).
Later, we will go to the Inti-Ñan Museum, an archaeological center of great importance, where it has been determined that the equinoctial line crosses this place with great precision, verified with GPS, which generates the probability that the Caranqui culture had this knowledge centuries ago.
Finally, we will enjoy a wonderful view of the Pululahua volcano crater from the viewpoint, a few meters from the main entrance of the geobotanical reserve of the same name.
